Impressed and inspired by these brilliant christmas crackers by Kate from Mini-eco, I thought a similar structure would work really well to create candy-shaped party favour boxes. And, of course, I've dressed them head to toe in delicious candy stripes! 'Cos you gotta love candy stripes.

*Sigh*... Last week was one of those weeks- nothing was going right. Apologies for the lack of updates.
I wanted to start this week the right way- with bright, cheery colours... and a freebie! I've created a few colourful iPhone wallpaper sets which I'll be gradually releasing throughout the week. Here's the first set. Please enjoy!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd revisit some of my old Valentine's Day DIY projects from previous years...just in case you missed it, or simply felt like taking another peek! Most contain free stationery printables to help you re-create the project for yourself.
DIY 'Je t'aime' coffee cup wrappers - Wouldn't it be cute to surprise a loved one on Valentine's morning with a cup of coffee for the road that literally says 'I love you'? With this concept in mind I designed these love-themed wrappers that can be used to dress up a disposable coffee cup. The perfect romantic gesture for the caffeine obsessed!
DIY 'Je t'aime' mini card sets - I really enjoyed creating the design for the 'Je t'aime' coffee cup wrappers' so I thought I'd also transform them into mini cards with polka dot lined envelopes.
DIY Valentine Post-it Love Notes - To elicit a smile or two from your loved one on Valentines's day, try writing sweet little messages on post-its and leave them in unexpected locations for your partner to find.

DIY Origami Heart Love Note - Create an origami paper heart and write a private message to a loved one inside.
DIY Valentine Popcorn Invitation ( for a cosy night in ) - Instead of splurging on dinner at a fancy restaurant, have a cosy night in on the couch. A couch 'picnic' of sorts. Snuggle under a blanket, order take-out, indulge in champagne, popcorn and candy in front of your favourite romantic movie. Download the bits n' pieces to re-create this 'popcorn' invitation to give to your loved one.

So, what has everyone got planned for the holiday break? On the very top of my list are activities that involve minimal thinking and couch appreciation.
We're also looking forward to Sukie's very first trip to the beach and enjoying other dog-friendly excursions. I'm certain there will also be much merriment over various BBQs with friends, regular meltings in the summer heat and excessive chocolate consumption. (I've come to the conclusion that it is impossible to avoid sugar overload during the holidays so this year I'm not even going to try.)
But before I get ahead of myself, there is still much to be done. As usual, I have left everything to the absolute last minute. Next week will be a flurry of gift making, packaging and shopping- oh my.
Anyway, please enjoy these gift tags that I've designed for you- Hope they help you with your last minute gift projects.

I've personally never hugged a reindeer before but I imagine the experience would be warm and snuggly and definitely worthy of wishing upon loved ones during the holiday season.
So with this concept in mind, I've created these little tags for you to download and use for your holiday gifting.

As a kid I adored the game 'Memory'. The truth is, I still do. Sure, it's not exactly what you would define as 'challenging' but there's something charming about it's simplicity. So, for a bit of cute fun I decided to re-create the game with a slight twist. I've replaced the cards with paper popsicles. Who doesn't love popsicles, right?

Scatter these at a summer ice-cream social, bbq or picnic for a bit of interactive fun for guests!

I'd firstly like to apologise to fellow Aussies for my obvious neglect of their 'seasonal' interests in recent times. It is probably clear, upon viewing my last couple of projects, that I am a touch pre-occupied indulging in fantasies of the summertime. Please forgive me, I find that this helps me get through the cold winter months!
So, for those currently blessed with beautiful weather and thinking of enjoying a lovely picnic or two, I'm hoping that these little invites I've designed will come in handy!

Once again I find myself envious of the weather on the other side of the globe, my mind constantly drifting to thoughts of ice-cream, picnics in the park, summer dresses and warm yellow sunshine.
And so, out of a lust for warmer days, these Ice-Cream gift tags were conceived.
I'm in a much better mood just looking at the bright and cheery colours. I hope you enjoy them too!

Wedding Style Guide magazine's latest issue (which features my wedding!) also includes a mint green version of my Ice-Cream Parlour cups as part of their 'retro green machine' spread (pg.78). The cup wrapper can be downloaded for free from their website!
(Print onto glossy photo paper for best results!)

I recently bought a set of wood coasters from Carina Sherlock in Armadale. It struck me that they would look beautiful transformed into wedding table number signs for a rustic style wedding.

I thought they would look especially good when combined with a set of nature-inspired numbers I had recently illustrated.

After some research I discovered that I could use Lazertran decal transfer paper to transfer the numbers onto the wood surface and successfully create the table number signs I had imagined!

Wouldn't it be cute to surprise a loved one on Valentine's morning (or any morning for that matter) with a cup of coffee for the road that literally says 'I love you'? With this concept in mind I designed these love-themed wrappers that can be used to dress up a disposable coffee cup. The perfect romantic gesture for the caffeine obsessed!
It comes around once a year. Instantly detectable from the overwhelming explosion of pink and red in shop windows, the hiked up price tag on a bunch of roses and the sudden inexplicable desire to buy chocolates or candy. The experience may be nauseating to many, but, in my opinion, the perception of Valentine's Day merely being expensive and fraught with clichés belongs to those who fail to think outside the heart-shaped box. The truth is, I bear little objection to the holiday. In fact, I embrace it and view it as an opportunity to get creative!
You might remember this little guy from a previous holiday freebie. I've adapted him to include moveable legs, antler and tail to be used either as a decorative tag to adorn your holiday gifts or as part of a playful DIY postcard.

I haven't really taken pencil to paper in awhile, preferring to rely on digital means to create most of my designs. This illustration, however, began with a session of doodling and evolved into a concept for a thank-you card.
